Honor Societies
Honor Societies are clubs for students who are interested in working with other like minded students through volunteer and leadership services. These clubs may have certain GPA requirements for membership and are only open to students starting at a certain grade level.

California Scholarship Federation (CSF)Founded upon the value of recognizing academic achievement, the California Scholarship Federation is one of Keppel’s largest honor societies! Through a multitude of hour opportunities, CSF helps community institutions and events through volunteerism. Active participation grants you a cord and seal on your diploma upon graduation. Crown and SceptreCrown & Sceptre is an exclusive senior honor society dedicated to improving and resolving different issues at Mark Keppel. We create and implement projects throughout the senior school year, such as developing solar energy plans for Keppel and creating a pen pal and mentorship system, to improve our school community and environment. Look out for our application at the end of your junior year!

Mu Alpha ThetaMu Alpha Theta is a national Mathematics Honor Society for high schools and two-year colleges. You will earn a certificate of membership by your senior year if you are active, and you may earn awards by placing in the top 25 in the regional Log 1 contests. There is a one-time charge of $10 for new members (you will only need to pay once throughout your high school career).

National Dance Arts Honor Society (NDHAS)NDAHS is a charter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and the National Dance Education Organization. Our prestigious extracurricular club is for anyone interested in anything related to dance. This includes all styles of dance, just dancing for fun, going to school dances, watching dance shows in person and/or on television, taking dance classes, watching dance performances, dance competitions, etc... Our main priority is to raise interest in the art of dance at MKHS!

National Honor Society (NHS)Join NHS! The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. If you’re interested in applying for NHS, you can apply at the end of your freshman/sophomore year!

Science National Honor Society (SNHS)Interested in Science? Join SNHS! SNHS promotes participation in science through the recognition of scientific/intellectual thought and community service. If you are active from sophomore to senior year, you will become a lifetime member and be eligible to wear an SNHS cord at graduation as recognition of your accomplishment. It also makes a great addition to your resume and you will be able to make an impact on your community through science!
